Forums are bad, massive number of page views and a small number of clicks. The best sites are sites that are non-repeatable, the best websites have large volumes of traffic available. A website visitor is looking to do a specific thing and probably won't return. You can have a highly successful site if you have returning visitors professional design, traffic and unique site content. View your site as a visitor not a webmaster. Its good to experiment which color combinations work for your site. The trick is to experiment.

Although google advises AdSense publishers may place up to three AdSense for content units on one webpage. You may also place a maximum of three link units and two search boxes on each webpage. On some of my web pages upon recommendation from the adsense optimization team to place more ads, which I have done and yielded no increase in earnings. on the particluar pages they get a lot of traffic, however visitors are more interested in the content. Sometimes Less is More, visitors dont want to visit a site with too many ads. Try to keep it to a maximum of two or three ad units and one link unit per page always above the fold.
